Well, I am going to resign from my receptionist position tomorrow.

I had my review today, and that went good, and it is an okay job with pretty good benefits. I am also well
liked and have met a lot of friends there. I am always cheered up by talking to my co-workers and have
even come to enjoy meeting all the different people that come into the office everyday. Thing is, it is still
a receptionist position, and that is not what I want to be. So after work I went to my second interview at a
small restaurant marketing/hardware installation and supply company, and was offered a new gig. If I take
it, which I am sure I will, I will have a lot more responsibility and opportunity. My main objective there will be
to assist the installation manager with coordination of the sales. In other words I will have to hound the
customer and the service team to get all their necessary equipment and documents in order so the new
computer system, alarm system, and/or walkie talkies can get set up. Somewhere down the road I will have
to manage the service team. Also, which is really cool, I will have the opportunity to design and produce
gift cards and frequent diner cards, as well as mailers and other print materials. They will train me to do the
programming and design for menus as well. I'm pretty excited. This is a new position that they are creating,
so hopefully we can work together to determine exactly what my days will be filled with.

I am nervous, and have all these irrational fears. Like, what if I give my 2 weeks and then they rescind their offer?
Does that kind of thing happen? Also doesn't suck that I have to give my notice the day after my review? I really
like the people I work with now, but there is really no room to grow there,
